Dojo Belt Ranks

Every player starts as a white belt. You climb by earning belt points at the tables. There are 44 ranks in all: seven colored belts with four stripes each, black belt with six degrees, then Master and Grandmaster.

How you earn belt points

• Play hands. Every hand you play in a tournament earns 1 point.
• Finish in the money. Paid places earn points too, with more for finishing higher.
• Beat higher belts. Each higher-ranked player you beat earns 10 bonus points.

Only tournaments earn belt points; cash games don't. Bot belts reflect their skill level.

Belts are earned, never bought. Each rank takes a few more points than the last, so the higher belts mean real time at the tables.
